Lockdown 2.0

Tuesday, the Ontario premier Doug Ford made an announcement that our province was being shut down again. On Thursday we go into lockdown province wide. As many of us listened our hearts just sank.

It felt like Groundhog Day.

During our first wave it was the fear of the unknown, what was this pandemic going to be like, what were we going to do, how are we going to get our necessities and how were we going connect with others.

We came through that lockdown, enjoyed some of the summer months with limited travel and started to figure out this new normal.

However, we have entered the second wave and Covid19 has hit our province and nation hard.

It’s now the fear of the known since we have lived through one lockdown.

Although we can not control this pandemic right now, we can choose how we react to it.

Breathe. Breathe Deeply.

Reach out and connect with family and friends through text, phone and video.

Contact your health care provider if you are in distress or call centres. You are not alone.

If you have a counsellor connect with them. Your mental mind is just as important as your physical health.
